Survey and documentation are critical to understanding extant historical resources and planning for their future. Survey services include systematic district- and neighborhood-level data and photo collection that adheres to the standards of the National Park Service. Coupled with archival material, this information can be used to determine the local or national significance of an area's built resources, or to analyze a historic district's current state of integrity. Documentation services include measured drawings and thorough photo documentation of a structure's existing conditions, as well as Historic American Building Survey-formatted drawings and historical research.
