Preservation planning is the process of identifying, documenting, and managing historic resources. From historic districts to individual structures, we offer a range of planning studies that vary in scope and detail based on the client's needs. District-level planning includes city-wide historic preservation plans, design guidelines, or other planning documents to help municipalities protect their historic structures. Structure-level planning includes Historic Structure Reports (HSRs) and building assessments, which take into account a building's history, context, design, materials, and construction in order to make preservation recommendations that will aid property owners and developers in planning for the future.
